The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting the Controller and accounting team with all bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks for multiple companies.
Working hours are 8:30 to 5:30 pm daily, full-time onsite only.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare bank deposits and general ledger postings.
- Reconcile assigned accounts in a timely manner.
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and timely upload the supporting documentation to the accounting system.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Provide updates and prepare reports.
- Submit monthly invoices to customers for all companies.
- Verify billing to customers agree with the rates established in accordance with the signed
- executed contract to ensure accuracy of the company’s records.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Support audit processes and assist with financial statement preparation
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Controller as needed.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and cash accounts on a periodic basis for accuracy ofbalances owed, credit balances.
- Collaborate closely with the Controller to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- as identified.
- Work closely with the Controller on month-end processes by adhering to the designated
- checklist.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Related Skills:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
- Familiar with Accrual accounting principles
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working in an accounting or bookkeeping position
- Fluency in English is required
- Bi lingual in Spanish is preferred,
