Tax Specialist Jobs in Pennsylvania
A Tax Specialist in the accounting industry is responsible for preparing, filing, and ensuring the accuracy of an organization's or individual's tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing advice on tax related matters. They research, analyze, interpret, and apply tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to help optimize tax savings and minimize tax liabilities. Their duties also include identifying tax savings opportunities, developing tax strategies, and assisting with audits and tax litigations.
The skills required for a Tax Specialist include excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, and proficiency in tax software and databases. They should have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and tax authorities. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) certification would be advantageous. Prior roles that can lead to a Tax Specialist position include Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Associate.
