To ensure success as a Staff Accountant, you should have advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, excellent project management skills, and a good eye for detail. A skilled full charge bookkeeper efficiently handles all the accounting needs of the company, streamlining the business.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-General ledger review
-Supervise work of offshore bookkeepers
-Month end close and financial reporting
-Understanding of accrual basis accounting is a must
-GE Tax filings
-Accounts Receivable
-Accounts Payable
-Journal entries
-Assist with administrative duties in the office
-Collaborate with others and provide support for tax department
Requirements for an ideal candidate:
-Degree in accounting and minimum 3 years of work experience is a must
-Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll
-Knowledge of QuickBooks Online required Pro Advisor Certification
-Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Ability to identify errors and solve problems
-Proficient with technology
Organization & Problem-Solving Abilities
-Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
-Capable of handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
-Able to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution
