Accountant

A local Hawaii based company is looking for an Accountant to join their team and support day-to-day financial operations while helping ensure accurate reporting and compliance across the organization. • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with analysis as requested.
• Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience required (2-4 years preferred).
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
