In this position you will be responsible for the following:
- Performing monthly fiscal responsibilities to include: Contract Billings - Preparing and submitting billings to Accounts Receivable defined by agreements with other agencies.
- Monitoring General Ledger in accordance with the Comptroller General's Monthly Checklist along with grant regulations.
- Correcting any funding errors identified during the monthly review.
- Assisting with monitoring grant activity by updating monthly reports including match and program income.
- Preparing monthly reports required for RSA-911 reporting.
- Perform quarterly Cost Allocation Plan analysis.
- Determining and preparing the journal entry to allocate the cost per quarterly analysis.
- Reviewing the annual administrative salary funding split for Federal and State.
- Assisting in reviewing annually the Cost Allocation Plan and proposing changes as needed.
- Preparing allocation of annual insurance expenditures and quarterly worker's compensation expenditures.
- Preparing and requesting draws for Basic Support Grants after supervisor approval.
- Preparing documentation for quarterly RSA reporting for Basic Support Grants and submitting to supervisor for review.
- Preparing and submitting assigned year-end closing package by required deadlines.
- Preparing documentation support for the closing packages.
- Assisting as backup to other essential finance functions as needed.
- Assisting with special projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and experience in government accounting.
Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting, auditing, budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of state government fiscal and accounting practices and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial data, records, and reports.
