LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and ensuring reliable reporting across the business.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.
This role will report onsite five days per week
Key Responsibilities:
Process and record daily financial transactions including revenue, expenses, and payments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries
Ensure proper classification of transactions in accordance with the chart of accounts
Review and enter vendor invoices while verifying accuracy
Track payment deadlines and assist with timely disbursements
Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepancies
Reconcile vendor statements and address outstanding items
Apply customer payments and record deposits
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due balances
Assist with collections activities as needed
Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and review of entries
Prepare documentation for external accountants and audit support
Maintain organized financial records, both digital and physical
Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures
Assist with vendor onboarding and documentation (including W-9 collection)
Track subscriptions, contracts, and recurring expenses
Provide ad hoc reporting and financial support to management as needed
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience with AP/AR systems or automation tools preferred
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 DOE
