Our client in Mukilteo, WA location is currently hiring for a Controller Local. This is an onsite opportunity working core business hours. This role is designed as a key succession-planning position with a clear path to Vice President of Finance within 23 years. The position does not support relocation, and candidates must be able to work onsite in Mukilteo, WA.
Pay $147,900 $200,100 annually (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant job titles)

Schedule Standard Monday Friday (Core business hours, generally 8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
(Responsibilities)
Direct and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Design, implement, and maintain strong internal financial controls
Prepare forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range financial models
Serve as the primary financial subject matter expert supporting business unit leaders with reporting and performance analysis
Provide financial guidance on pricing and proposal activities in compliance with government contract requirements (FAR, DFAR, TINA, CAS)
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency
Partner with IT to automate financial workflows and enhance reporting through data warehousing and Power BI
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
(Qualification Requirements)
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
Experience supporting manufacturing or aerospace environments
Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting
Demonstrated experience with variance analysis (budget to actual, year over year)
Experience with government contract accounting (FAR, DFAR, TINA, CAS)
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or data warehousing tools
Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, cross-functional initiatives
MBA or professional certification (CPA or CMA) highly preferred
