Accounting Clerk

Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors; research, track, and resolve complex accounting problems and discrepancies. Code and input data (invoices, checks, account statements, reports) into financial processing systems according to company procedures; work in QuickBooks to support the company. Review A/P for accuracy and ensure proper approvals are in place; process credit cards payable and accounts payable to ensure payments are current; audit bills against purchase orders. Generate and distribute customer invoices, credit memos, internal sales orders, and account statements; add, receive, and post customer payments and credits to specific accounts. Manage the collections process for past-due accounts, conferring with customers to resolve payment delays; audit invoices against purchase orders and research discrepancies. Prepare checks, account statements, and reports; assist with project and job cost reporting; reconcile report discrepancies and assist with expense report tracking. Compile and sort documents (bills, checks, purchase orders) substantiating business transactions; maintain digital and physical records by scanning and filing. Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services. Assist with licensing compliance and other regulatory documentation. Assist with special projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
