Accounting Specialist I

This position will perform diversified tasks in the Cash Management/Treasury and Retail accounting departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reconcile credit cards and bank deposits by store with accounting software. Research and resolve any outages that are found by working with banks, station reporting, or the IT department.

2. Reconciliation of income, expense, payable, receivable, bank, and other accounts.

3. Manage and maintain bank relationships. Will be responsible for setting up both store and corporate bank accounts.

4. Work with Cash Management team on daily payment processing, positive pay exceptions, and recording of cash transactions. Also, work with the bank on payment file transfers and uploads.

5. Working with vendors on establishing new vendor setups or banking changes.

6. Work with corporate accounting and other departments regarding classification of charges to the proper object/subaccount.

8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, treasury, computer, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training.
