FLSA STATUS: Non- Exempt

REPORTS TO : Director of Finance

WORK HOURS: Monday Friday 8 AM 5 PM , ability to work weekends and/or extended hours , as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for processing invoices, contract billings, and the Accounts Receivable receipts (cash, credit card, other).

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Sales Billing .
  • Deposit funds using a check scanner or going to the bank .
  • Apply Deposits to Sales invoices .
  • Monitor AR Aging and contact customers with overdue accounts .
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations .
  • Contract Review for contract performance obligations .
  • Assist with 1099/1042 preparation .
  • Journal Entry Preparation .
  • Prep Credit Card Entries .
  • Filing .
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • General understanding of Accounting Principles .
  • Microsoft Great Plains , preferred .
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or similar years of experience , preferred .
  • 1-2 years of Accounts Receivable experience .
  • Intermediate user of Excel.
  • Must pass the RVP program and maintain a Green Light status .
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 20 lbs.
