Job Description
Manage monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation processes.
Analyze Medicaid, Medicare, grant, insurance, and contract revenue activity.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close schedules.
Reconcile billing systems to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor deferred revenue, accruals, contractual adjustments, and allowances.
Prepare regulatory, grant, and funder reporting submissions.
Support audits, cost reports, compliance reviews, and financial reporting.
Track receivables, denials, cash collections, and aging trends.
Partner with operational and revenue cycle teams to resolve reporting issues.
Support process improvements, internal controls, and accounting workflow optimization.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and Board reporting support.
Qualifications:
5 plus years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong experience with revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, grants, or third party reimbursement environments.
Experience preparing regulatory, funder, or reimbursement reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition standards.
Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required.
Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
CPA certification is a plus.
Behavioral health, nonprofit healthcare, or human services industry experience.
Experience with EHR or healthcare billing systems.
Experience with single audits or cost reports.
