Job Description Summary

The Accounts Receivable Spec I is responsible for the review and approval of new credit applications. S/he is responsible in reviewing credit worthiness of existing customers for credit limit increase requests, through research and analysis of financial documents in SAP/HP. Ensures outstanding accounts assigned are collected and issues resolved in a timely manner.

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Reports to: Mgr Collections

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update and retrieve information for credit applications

  • Determine credit worthiness of applicants based on matrix

  • Designate degree of risk involved in extending credit by performing cash flow analysis of businesses

  • Ensure all approved applications are compliant with company credit policy

  • Assist with company and client audits

  • Assist with 3rd party credit reference requests

  • Review customer requests for increased in credit limit

  • Resolve account discrepancies and reach out to other internal departments as needed

  • Collect and reduce outstanding aging in A/R sub ledger

  • Actively seeks out customer payments before it becomes overdue

Qualifications:

  • University/ College Diploma

  • 1-3 years of current experience in a comparable role

  • Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Collections experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and other Office applications

  • Tools & Equipment: SAP/HP ERP

  • SAP experience is a must

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$44,100.00 - $66,100.00 Annual
