Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical accounting professional to join a growing organization and play a key role in complex accounting and financial reporting activities. This position will lead revenue accounting processes, support technical accounting initiatives, and partner closely with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, experience navigating complex transactions, and a desire to help build scalable processes within a rapidly evolving business.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Technical Accounting

Lead the accounting and reporting processes related to revenue recognition and associated financial transactions.
Analyze and document complex customer arrangements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting guidance.
Evaluate financial models and underlying assumptions used to support accounting conclusions.
Perform detailed reconciliations and analytical reviews related to revenue, cash activity, and operational metrics.
Research, document, and communicate technical accounting positions for new business initiatives and transactions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Financial Reporting & Close

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting packages.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results through thoughtful review and analysis.
Support the implementation and adoption of new accounting standards as needed.

Process Improvement & Controls

Maintain and enhance internal controls to support financial reporting accuracy and compliance.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process redesign, and system enhancements.
Develop scalable procedures to support continued business growth and increasing transaction complexity.
Partner with external auditors and assist with audit requests, testing, and documentation.

Collaboration & Special Projects

Work closely with accounting, finance, and operational leaders on strategic initiatives.
Serve as a key resource for accounting guidance across the organization.
Participate in ad hoc analyses, process improvement efforts, and special projects.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters degree preferred.
CPA designation required.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including public accounting and technical accounting exposure.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience reviewing complex transactions and supporting accounting conclusions.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with modern ERP and financial planning systems.
Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and accountability.
