Key Responsibilities
Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and record routine and complex journal entries, accruals, and other accounting transactions.
Perform detailed analysis of income statement, balance sheet, and subledger accounts.
Prepare account reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Generate and distribute financial reports supporting close and management reporting processes.
Support cash accounting activities, including daily transaction recording, bank reconciliations, cash applications, wire transfers, bank sweeps, and related reporting.
Prepare daily cash dashboards and executive-level reporting utilizing Excel and Power BI.
Prepare entries and maintain reporting related to investments and treasury activities.
Support forecasting and annual general ledger budgeting processes.
Participate in a broad range of accounting functions, including:
Intercompany accounting
Order-to-Cash (O2C)
Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
Record-to-Report (R2R)
Payroll and benefits accounting
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and corporate accounting policies.
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and data analytics to streamline reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and financial analysis.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and strengthen financial processes.
Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Collaborate with accounting, finance, treasury, and business leaders across the organization.
Help drive the adoption of technology and automation solutions that enhance decision-making and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation required.
- 3+ years of experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience working with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies across multiple data sources.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Corporate accounting experience within a complex organization.
- Experience supporting data analytics initiatives and reporting projects.
- Exposure to Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools, automation technologies, or workflow optimization solutions within accounting or finance functions.
