Job Description (Accounts Payable Specialist)
Responsible for supporting high-volume accounts payable operations, including auditing and processing invoice batches, employee expense reports, and credit card statements to ensure compliance with company policies and documentation requirements. Ensures timely and accurate posting of AP batches within the JD Edwards accounting system while monitoring and resolving unposted or on-hold transactions through reporting and analysis.
Maintains organized electronic and manual filing systems for AP records, supporting audit readiness and fulfilling document retrieval requests from management. Tracks incoming payments and supports invoice entry as needed. Collaborates daily with plant personnel to ensure completeness of submissions and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Additionally, contributes to continuous workflow support through data tracking (Excel), process adherence, and handling administrative duties, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: Associate degree (or equivalent experience) with 35 years of high-volume AP experience, strong auditing skills, proficiency in JD Edwards or similar ERP systems, and solid Excel capabilities. Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work both independently and collaboratively.
