Associate Administrator Accounting - B Shift - Storm Lake, IA

Job Details:

This role plays a vital part in keeping the companys financial operations running smoothly and accurately. As a key contributor to the accounting function, you will ensure that critical financial data is entered correctly and on time, supporting informed decision-making across the business. Your work will directly impact payment processing, shipping accuracy, and financial compliance, making you an essential partner to both the accounting team and operational stakeholders.

In this position, you will handle a wide range of accounting activities, including processing payments related to trucking, live producers, grade and yield hogs, subject hogs, and insurance claims. You will manage and distribute shipping documents, maintain Bill of Lading (BOL) records, reconcile accounts, and audit scale tickets to ensure precision and compliance. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are key, as you will be responsible for balancing shift books, filing carbon checks, and ensuring all lots are entered accurately into the accounting system.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support timely shipment documentation and insurance claim payments. This role also offers exposure to multiple accounting functions and business units, providing an excellent opportunity to deepen your accounting knowledge while contributing to a collaborative, detail-driven environment that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Days/Hours: Monday Friday 3:00pm 11:00pm; some Saturdays may be required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1+ plus years of office experience required

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including generating simple spreadsheets; Microsoft Office; Sessions, SAP preferred.

Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication.

Special Skills: Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge of multiple business units, and accounting requirements
