Assistant Accounts Receivable Clerk (East end Houston (inside 610 Loop

Industrial supply company located near the Houston Ship Channel is looking for an Assistant Accounts Receivable Clerk to perform tasks that will help us manage customer credit accounts. You will work with 3 other Accounts Receivable Clerks and ensure that customer's accounts are kept up to date, payments are applied and accounting issues are resolved. Full training for the position will be provided. The various job duties may include: Customer contact to determine source of customer pay issues Posting customer payments Resolution of account discrepancies including short payments, credits and returns.by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers; Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contacts with customer. Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
