LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Payroll Clerk in St. Louis, MO. This role is responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with company policies, union agreements, and federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports payroll operations, audits, and reporting functions while ensuring data integrity and excellent internal customer service.
Title: Payroll Clerk
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO
Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per/hour

Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll cycles
Maintain accurate employee payroll and tax records
Audit timekeeping and payroll data for accuracy
Manage payroll tables (earnings, deductions, taxes)
Calculate and process terminations, layoffs, and adjustments
Administer garnishments, child support, and deductions
Generate certified payroll and compliance reports
Support year-end processing, including tax filings
Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally
Assist with payroll system updates and improvements
Qualifications:
2+ years of payroll processing experience
Experience with multi-state payroll preferred
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance
Familiarity with payroll/HRIS systems
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
