Our client, a dynamic organization in the technology and finance sector, is seeking a Workday Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Workday Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Corporate Accounting department supporting global financial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Workday Staff Accountant
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $34-$37/hr
Duration: 6 months
What's the Job?
Execute key activities in the monthly and quarterly close processes for Payables and Infrastructure accounting.
Manage vendor and PO accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets across multiple global entities.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and aging schedules for key GL accounts.
Support audit and SOX compliance by preparing PBCs, reconciliations, and explanations of account movements.
Contribute to process improvements and standardization of financial procedures related to infrastructure and payables.
What's Needed?
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
35+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, with experience in accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Workday financials.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
