Job Title: Project Accounting / AP Specialist (Contract - 4 Months)
Location: Cranbury, NJ (100% On-Site)
Compensation: $30-$35/hour
Start Date: Immediate
About the Opportunity:
A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative accounting professional to join their team on a 4-month contract assignment. This is a fully on-site role offering hands-on exposure to project accounting, accounts payable, and job costing in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support job costing functions, including data entry and maintenance within the job cost system
Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate tracking of project financials
Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and vendor communication
Assist with billing and Accounts Receivable activities
Provide administrative support related to subcontracts
Maintain accurate financial records with strong attention to detail
Proactively support the team with a "how can I help" mindset
Qualifications:
Experience in construction, engineering, or architecture industries strongly preferred
Familiarity with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (CRE) is a plus
Hands-on experience with job costing and project-based accounting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Ability to work effectively in a fully on-site, team-oriented environment
