LHH is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Payroll Specialist for a part-time contract opportunity. This role will support payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely processing for employees in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Review and audit timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and adjustments
Maintain payroll records and update employee information, including rates, deductions, and changes
Reconcile payroll data and assist with reporting as needed
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions
Ensure compliance with payroll laws, company policies, and internal controls
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of payroll processing experience
Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Workday, Kronos, or similar preferred)
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of payroll regulations and multi-state payroll is a plus
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Part-time schedule (2 days per week Monday and Tuesday, onsite)
Contract role with potential to extend beyond 6 months
Collaborative team environment with opportunity to support key payroll functions
Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
