Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist Location: Purchase, NY (Hybrid) Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join a fast-paced and collaborative accounting team in Purchase, NY. This role is ideal for someone with early-career AP experience who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and values accuracy and organization. Responsibilities: Process high-volume invoices (~300 per week), including batching and coding Manage accounts payable transactions, including ACH payments and check requests Handle travel & expense (T&E) processing using Concur Review and process grant requests and service-related invoices Prioritize payments based on Net 30 (N30) terms Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing and payments Perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt) when applicable Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong internal relationships Support day-to-day AP functions and assist with general accounting tasks Qualifications: Required: 1-2+ years of Accounts Payable experience Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Preferred: Experience with Concur (highly preferred) Familiarity with full-cycle AP processes Experience with ACH payments, invoice coding, and reconciliations Exposure to Lawson or Infor systems Experience with expense reports, purchase orders, and vendor management Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rye Brook, NY.
