Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Columbia, MD.
Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented AR/Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for primarily accounts receivable functions, along with general accounting support, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable processes including invoicing, cash applications, and collections
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Support AP functions and other accounting operations as needed
- Prepare financial reports and assist with audits
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
