With strong revenue growth (projected ~$70M in 2026) and increased operational complexity, this is a newly created role designed to support enhanced cost accounting and Work-in-Progress (WIP) processes. Why This Role Stands Out Clear career path to Controller Head of Accounting Direct mentorship from highly experienced leadership (~25 years in WIP & construction accounting) Opportunity to build and improve SOPs and accounting processes Significant exposure to cost accounting and WIP cycles Private office and strong internal visibility Backed by a reputable private equity partner , fueling continued growth Key Responsibilities Oversee and support AR, AP, and payroll sub-ledgers Serve as the primary liaison between accounting and project management teams Manage and analyze: Change orders Missing or delayed job costs Billing gaps and discrepancies Execute core accounting functions: Month-end close Journal entries Bank reconciliations Maintain and track fixed assets and depreciation (heavy equipment focus) Own and update Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules : Multi-month WIP cycles (~6 months) Detailed job-level profitability analysis Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field 37+ years of accounting experience (construction industry strongly preferred) Hands-on experience with WIP and/or cost accounting highly preferred Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting Experience with Vista / Viewpoint or similar ERP systems a plus Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Compensation & Work Environment Base Salary: $90,000 $100,000 Bonus: Up to 10% Schedule: ~45 hours/week Option for 7:00 AM 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Work Arrangement: 100% on-site (Baltimore, MD) Culture: Collaborative, fast-paced, early-start environment typical of construction Tools: Company-provided laptop #LI-BK1 #INJUN2026 #CONSTRUCTIONACCOUNTANT #ACCOUNTANT #SENIORACCOUNTANT #VIEWPOINT EB-...
