LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a HYBRID Legal Billing Specialist to manage the end-to-end billing process for legal services, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client guidelines, and submitted on time.
Title: Legal Billing Specialist
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: Kansas City, MO
Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 annual (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities
Generate prebills, apply attorney edits, finalize and distribute invoices per schedule.
Ensure compliance with client outside counsel guidelines (narratives, task codes, caps, formats).
Prepare and submit e-bills; troubleshoot rejections and resolve submission issues.
Maintain billing instructions within billing/accounting systems and keep client guidelines current.
Respond to billing inquiries, research discrepancies, and support collections/AR coordination as needed.
Protect confidentiality of client/firm financial information and documentation.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services setting.
Experience with e-billing systems and client portals; LEDES familiarity preferred.
Strong Excel and attention to detail; ability to manage high invoice volume and deadlines.
Experience with common legal billing/accounting platforms
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
