LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a HYBRID Legal Billing Specialist to manage the end-to-end billing process for legal services, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client guidelines, and submitted on time.

Title: Legal Billing Specialist

Type: Direct Hire/Permanent

Location: Kansas City, MO

Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 annual (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate prebills, apply attorney edits, finalize and distribute invoices per schedule.

  • Ensure compliance with client outside counsel guidelines (narratives, task codes, caps, formats).

  • Prepare and submit e-bills; troubleshoot rejections and resolve submission issues.

  • Maintain billing instructions within billing/accounting systems and keep client guidelines current.

  • Respond to billing inquiries, research discrepancies, and support collections/AR coordination as needed.

  • Protect confidentiality of client/firm financial information and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services setting.

  • Experience with e-billing systems and client portals; LEDES familiarity preferred.

  • Strong Excel and attention to detail; ability to manage high invoice volume and deadlines.

  • Experience with common legal billing/accounting platforms

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
