Senior Payroll Lead
LHH is currently hiring for a senior payroll lead based in Nashville. This position will ensure accurate calculations, deductions and remittance of federal, state and local taxes to adhere to compliance requirements. We are looking for payroll professionals who have experience processing multi-state payroll, payroll reporting and reconciliations.
Responsibilities Include:
Ensure payroll tax compliance across multi-entity, multi-state operations, including filings, reconciliations, and adjustments
Resolve payroll tax notices and discrepancies with federal, state, and local agencies
Support payroll system implementations, ensuring accurate tax configuration and compliance
Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and issue resolution
Conduct audits and compliance reviews, reducing risk and improving regulatory adherence
Support entity expansions and organizational changes from a payroll tax perspective
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience within multi-state, large population (1,5000+ employees) end to end processing
Excel- Advanced proficiency (X,V lookups, Pivot Table, etc.)- to reconcile heavy data sets
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Working knowledge of payroll compliance, laws and tax regulations/updates
Comfortable working in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/ 2 WFH)

Pay Rate $36-38.50/hr
Medical, dental, vision & 401k matching, PTO/paid holidays, discretionary bonus offered based on company/individual performance
Pay Details: $78,000.00 to $79,998.00 per year
