JOB PURPOSE :
The Compensation Analyst II performs intermediate-level professional compensation work supporting compensation programs, job evaluation activities, salary administration processes, market pricing, and classification reviews. Responsibilities include conducting compensation analyses, preparing reports, participating in salary surveys, maintaining compensation data, and supporting organizational compensation initiatives. The position exercises independent judgment in applying established compensation principles and provides consultation to leaders and Human Resources partners on routine and moderately complex compensation matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Support the administration of compensation programs and annual compensation processes, including salary reviews, promotional increases, market adjustments, and compensation recommendations. Conduct job evaluations, position reviews, reclassifications, and compensation analyses using established compensation methodologies. Perform market pricing and benchmarking analyses utilizing compensation surveys and market data. Research labor market trends and compensation practices to support compensation recommendations and salary administration activities. Participate in salary survey submissions, validate compensation data, and assist in analyzing survey results. Prepare standard and ad hoc compensation reports and maintain compensation-related records and documentation. Review compensation transactions to ensure compliance with compensation policies, procedures, and salary administration guidelines. Assist in monitoring internal equity and identifying potential compensation discrepancies for management review. Evaluate organizational changes and position requests to support classification and compensation recommendations. Collaborate with leaders, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Payroll, and Finance to provide compensation-related support and guidance. Support maintenance of salary structures, job classifications, compensation databases, and position control processes. Research and resolve compensation inquiries, salary concerns, and classification issues. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency within compensation systems and reports. Assist with compensation-related audits, compliance reviews, and documentation requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
A valid driver's license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, information Systems or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE
2 years of experience in compensation conducting, job evaluation, market pricing , salary analyses and compensation program administration.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must have demonstrated knowledge of and application of computer software such as spreadsheets, word, access, presentation, etc. Must have a basic knowledge of assigned division operations. Strong Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Word, Oracle EBS experience is a plus. Work in the office the majority of the time. Subject to hazards at work sites during analysis. May be required to work extended hours. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment. Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
