Director of Accounting Onsite/In office in Columbia, MD We are seeking a strategic, hands on Director of Accounting to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing, mission driven non-profit organization with $25$27 million in annual revenue near the Columbia, MD area. This Director of Accounting is a highly visible role offering direct access to the Executive Director and Board, with meaningful influence over financial strategy, operations, and long term growth. Offering: Salary: $130,000$150,000 Bonus: Up to 5% Medical, dental, vision insurance via United HealthCare with multiple plans to chose from PTO starting at 3 weeks plus holidays and floating day 403B retirement plan+ company match Missiondriven organization with a strong sense of purpose Opendoor leadership culture Direct access to executive leadership and Board Stable organization with longtenured leaders Opportunity for growth within an evolving leadership team What Youll Do as a Director of Accounting: Oversee all accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis Prepare annual operating budgets and interim financial reports Ensure GAAP compliance, strong internal controls, and audit readiness Manage monthly close, general ledger, debt service, taxes, and insurance Coordinate the annual financial statement audit and Medicare Cost Report Lead, develop, and support the finance team Serve as a trusted partner to leadership and the Board Director of Accounting Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration CPA preferred 10+years progressive accounting and finance experience with proven management experience Strong GAAP knowledge and financial leadership experience Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion Detailoriented, accurate, and collaborative communicator #INMAY2026 #LI-JG1 EB-...
