Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support end-to-end payroll processing in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll, maintaining compliance with regulations, and partnering closely with HR and accounting. Key Responsibilities: Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a regular schedule Review and audit timekeeping data, earnings, deductions, and benefits for accuracy Maintain employee payroll records and update changes such as new hires, terminations, and status updates Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations Handle payroll tax filings, garnishments, and year-end reporting (W-2s) Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end and year-end close Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies Partner with HR and finance to ensure accurate data flow and reporting Identify opportunities for process improvements and maintain payroll documentation Qualifications: Experience processing payroll in a high-volume or multi-state environment Knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar Understanding of payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Excel for reporting and data analysis Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred: CPP certification or working toward certification Experience with ERP or HRIS systems Background supporting audits or payroll process improvements What Success Looks Like: Payroll is processed accurately and on time with minimal errors Compliance standards are consistently met Payroll issues are resolved quickly and effectively Processes are efficient, documented, and scalable Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: The pay transparency policy is available here: For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
