Senior Accounting Specialist

Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis area to identify an experienced Accounting Specialist. In this role, you will support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations for assigned areas. Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with financial reporting support, including 10-Q/10-K disclosures and management reporting schedules
• Support budget analysis, audit activities, and reporting related to employee benefit obligations and share-based compensation
• Partner with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders on analyses, compliance, and special projects
• Provide additional support to Corporate Accounting and assist with ad hoc responsibilities as needed* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree and CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience or 3+ years within a large public accounting firm
• Experience with SEC/public reporting, SOX compliance, and complex accounting environments
• Proficiency with SAP, Blackline, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to drive process improvements and manage changing priorities
