Under general supervision, the Accountant 2, provides support to more experienced personnel by performing routine accounting assignments, moderately difficult in nature, requiring a broad knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

What You Can Expect:

Provides financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting policies and fiscal controls, and preparing financial reports.

Assists with the organization's budgeting and financial reporting process for the purpose of improving financial performance and efficiency.

Assists department leaders on variances from budget/actual.

Provides functional and technical direction to other staff members.

Provides technical support to outside auditors and governmental program auditors, as requested.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree

Experience: Two (2) years' relevant experience
