The Payroll Administrator - Senior supports accurate and compliant payroll operations by managing multientity payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, completing with tax and reporting requirements, and resolving payroll and timekeeping issues while contributing to process improvements and crossdepartment collaboration. Essential Job Responsibilities: Manages payroll data and supports accurate weekly, biweekly, and offcycle payroll processing across multiple entities, ensuring proper timesheets and wage calculations. Maintains and updates payroll system records for hires, rehires, terminations, job changes, compensation adjustments, and retroactive entries with increasing independence. Reviews Time & Absence, Earnings, and Payroll Worker Data reports to validate hours and salary accuracy before payroll submission. Prepares and distributes payroll registers and cycle documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Processes voluntary and involuntary deductionsincluding garnishments, child support, and tax levieswhile ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. Oversees direct deposit setup and resolves issues such as rejections or reissued payments. Initiates and reconciles payrollrelated wires for wages, taxes, garnishments, 401(k), HSA, and reimbursements; verifies contribution accuracy prior to vendor submission. Supports quarterly tax activities, research discrepancies, updates SUI rates, and ensures compliance within Workday and ADP SmartCompliance. Conducts New Hire Orientation and manages newhire, lumpsum, and state reporting, including offcycle bonus payrolls. Ensures compliance with finalpaycheck laws and processes termination pay accurately and on schedule. Serves as a resource for employees and supervisors, resolving payroll and timekeeping issues and escalating complex matters as needed. Prepares financial, statistical, and operational reports (OSHA, TERO, CRI, forecasts) and assists with internal and external audits. Collaborates with IT, HR, AP, and other partners to improve payroll processes and enhance system efficiency. Develops and delivers payroll training materials to employees and managers, supporting knowledge transfer and consistency. Performs additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Five (5) years of payroll processing experience; oil and gas and Workday experience preferred. Skilled in multientity payroll, alternative schedules, incentive pay, and payroll tax and garnishment processing. Proficient with 401(k)/HSA contributions, wire transfers, journal entries, and reconciliations. Strong knowledge of payroll practices and federal/state labor and tax regulations. Detailoriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and build effective working relationships at all levels. Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong customerservice mindset. Education Requirements: Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, accounting, or a related field from an accredited fouryear institution.
