Accounting Operations Manager

Full-Time | Management Kalispell, Montana

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to lead daily accounting functions for a growing financial services organization. This role oversees general ledger activities, financial reporting, internal controls, and team leadership while supporting audits, regulatory reporting, and forecasting.

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards

• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/annual close processes

• Perform budget variance analysis and support financial forecasting

• Support internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and required reporting

• Oversee select tax-related filings and payments

• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures

• Lead and develop accounting staff, including scheduling, performance management, and timecard approval

• Ensure compliance with confidentiality, information privacy, and organizational policies

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field

• 5+ years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred

• Financial institution or regulated-industry experience preferred

• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Willingness to travel between branch locations as needed

• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., with or without accommodation
