Assistant Controller

A distribution company located in Philadelphia is looking for an Assistant Controller with industry experience. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of supervisory experience. This role is in the office 5 days a week.
A few requirements:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with year-end close.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Supports budget and forecasting activities.
- Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
