Group Controller (Hybrid)

A prominent Baltimore-based firm is seeking a Group Controller with exceptional technical expertise and proven leadership ability. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving, well-respected company in a key management role. The parent organization—headquartered overseas and recognized as the global leader in its industry—has been in existence for several centuries. Yes, several centuries.

The Group Controller will manage a team of seven (two direct reports and five indirect) and have full responsibility for financial reporting for two entities. Key responsibilities include developing budgets, analyzing variances, coordinating external audits, and strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications:

• CPA license 

• At least 6 years of solid accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a supervisor 

• Strong background in cost accounting
