Pay: $75,000 to $87,000/year
Rockville Internal Medicine Group (RIMG) is a well-established, multi-specialty medical practice with locations in Olney and Rockville, MD. We are seeking a motivated Certified Accountant (CPA) to serve as our sole in-house accounting professional. You will manage all bookkeeping, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting, working with an external accounting firm during tax season. This role requires expert QuickBooks skills, a strong grasp of the full accounting cycle, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year-end closings.
Oversee ledgers, financial statements, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and profitability analyses for leadership.
Maintain organized documentation for all transactions and ensure proper internal controls are in place.
Coordinate with external accountants for audits and tax filings.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Support HR in reviewing staff payroll and manage physician payroll.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Training Requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
CPA designation (required)
5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
Experience supporting a medical practice (preferred)
U.S. work authorization (required)
