Assistant Controller
Supervise, monitor, and evaluate daily accounting activities and ensure an accurate and timely monthly closing process. Monitor production of financial reports and maintain strong financial controls to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.
Responsibilities
Serve as the lead accounting contact for all Diversification divisions (Education, Hospitality, Aviation, Robotics, Catering).
Manage monthly close processes for each division, ensuring timely, accurate financials.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and revenue recognition.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
Work closely with division leaders to understand business performance and provide financial insights.
Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and GAAP.
Assist with Workday ERP system transitions and process improvements as new divisions scale.
Coordinate with external auditors and support year-end audit work for assigned divisions.
Skills
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
Hands-on experience with multi-entity accounting and working in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and balancing strategic and transactional work.
Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, NetSuite, or similar platforms preferred.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with imperfect data and evolving processes.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Versatility: Comfortable supporting multiple industries with different accounting needs.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle close responsibility.
