Controller

Supervise, monitor, and evaluate daily accounting activities and ensure an accurate and timely monthly closing process. Monitor production of financial reports and maintain strong financial controls to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of accounting operations, including GL, AR/AP, payroll, revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, and consolidations across multiple business units.

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy across the enterprise.

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Oversee annual financial audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.

  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.

  • Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and legal to support strategic initiatives, board reporting, and financial forecasting.

  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and policiesexperience with ERP migrations (e.g., Workday) is highly valued.

  • Build and lead a high-performing accounting team, with a focus on talent development and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills

  • Strong technical expertise and sound judgment.

  • Ability to lead in a dynamic, $1B+ enterprise environment.

  • Proven ability to lead teams through change and scale processes for growth.

  • Demonstrated success building high-trust partnerships across finance and operations.

Requirements

  • CPA required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's or CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience, ideally with oversight of $500M$1B+ revenue companies.

  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and enterprise accounting operations.

  • Experience managing accounting for complex entities, including multiple legal entities, cost centers, and revenue streams.

  • Big 4 or national firm audit background preferred.

  • Experience with Workday ERP strongly preferred.
