Director of Project Finance

An established real estate development and construction firm with a growing footprint across the U.S. is seeking a Director of Project Finance to join its team in Tampa, FL. Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Planning, this role will drive the structuring, execution, and management of debt financing for large-scale residential development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement custom lending strategies tailored to diverse real estate projects.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align financing with broader business objectives.
• Prepare and present financing proposals, including financial models, lease and corporate summaries, and detailed loan structures.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with lenders, capital providers, and legal counsel.
• Manage loan portfolios and oversee the closing process for project financings.
• Support ongoing portfolio reporting and maintain up-to-date project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in real estate/construction lending or structured finance.
• Expert-level financial modeling and analysis skills.
• Strong communication abilities, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of real estate development, especially residential projects.
