Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Divisional Controller to join the manufacturing leadership team. This role will serve as a key financial advisor to the President and executive leadership, contributing to strategic planning and supporting overall business growth. The Controller will lead all accounting operations and ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis across the division.
Key Responsibilities
Drive financial planning, analysis, and performance optimization for the division.
Partner with executive leadership as a strategic financial advisor, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Lead the update and optimization of ERP systems, improving productivity and simplifying business processes.
Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting with strong internal controls to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
Monitor financial performance versus budgets and forecasts, implementing initiatives to improve outcomes.
Oversee the budgeting process and lead efforts in financial forecasting and reporting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, while adhering to GAAP standards.
Maintain scalable accounting and control systems with well-defined team roles and responsibilities.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate the finance and accounting team to maximize effectiveness.
Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership to develop cost-effective compensation and benefits strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
Experience in the manufacturing industry with at least $200M in Revenue is required.
- Experience working at public traded company
Proven leadership with strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated success in managing organizational change and collaborating with executive teams.
- Experience working across all departments
Substantial experience in a Controller or equivalent financial leadership position.
Strong foundation in technical accounting with manufacturing experience in scaling processes during business growth.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a focus on integrating technologies organization-wide.
Adaptable and collaborative approach in a dynamic, high-change environment.
