Columbus Hospitality Management is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team!
The Staff Accountant will perform accounting-related duties and work closely with the Columbus Hospitality Management field to compile and maintain accounting records to report the financial standings of the managed properties. This role is integral to performance metrics and requires someone with a close eye to detail and financial knowledge to assist the assets in key business management decisions.

Essential Functions:
- Financial statement preparation.
- Assist the asset with revenue forecasting.
- Monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliation.
- Accounts payable processing; including invoice, statement and check runs.
- Daily revenue entry for assigned business units.
- Cash and bank reconciliations.
- State and Local Tax Filing.
- Updating and maintaining W9 and 1099 information for assigned business units.
- Validating the Monthly Property Tasks Checklist and ensure good accounting fundamentals are held at assigned business units.
- Performing all duties and special projects assigned by Director of Accounting and Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School graduate or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable or as a Staff Accountant.
- Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a hotel/hospitality environment.
- Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as required and to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Able to carry out tasks independently and accurately.
- Ability to manage time and energies in an efficient, effective, and organized manner.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
