Staff Accountant

Job Responsibilities

            Payroll

• Update Employee date in Arcoro and Sage for ACI Const. Co., Inc.
• Process weekly payroll for ACI Const. Co. Inc. ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees
• Verify and reconcile payroll data including hours and deductions.
• Backup Sr. Payroll Accountant with payroll for other divisions.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain payroll records to ensure compliance.
• Assistant in monthly union reporting for other divisions.
• Enter payroll cash management entries.

Human Resources

• Monthly reporting of Ohio EEOC I-29 for all divisions
• Reconcile health insurance benefits
• Assist with administration of employee benefits programs.
• Backup HR Specialist with onboarding

Collections

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices and payment arrangements.
• Call, prepare, and send collection notices and follow up on unpaid accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and update CFO, Sr. Staff Accountants, and Operations.
• Collaborate with CFO, Sr. Staff Accounts, and Operations on status of past due invoices.
• Run weekly accounts receivable aging reports and distribute with status updates on past due accounts.
• Assistant in accounting tasks as required.

 Promotional Activities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at selected public functions.
• Promote Kirk Corporation within the construction industry to other contractors, subcontractors and vendors.

Internal Communication:

• Maintain good communicate and teamwork with Operations. 
• Interact with other departments within Kirk Corporation to make certain there is a consistent flow of information and good working relationships.

Additional Items:

• Interact with counterparts within Kirk Corporation and make certain other key personnel do the same to assure all companies benefit from each other’s resources and experiences. 
• Collaborate with executive staff to ensure Kirk Corporation continues to support the best business and construction practices in the industry.
