GEE Group is hiring a Cost Accountant for a leading manufacturer. This role is hands-onsupporting plant operations, driving financial accuracy, and digging into the numbers that matter.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile GL accounts: inventory, WIP, COGS

Analyze plant expenses and report variances to budget/forecast

Monitor manufacturing variances: price, labor, overhead, production

Partner with ops and supply chain to identify cost drivers

Handle journal entries, accruals, and month/year-end close

Lead physical and cycle inventory counts; resolve discrepancies

Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital project tracking

Coordinate audit support and asset management

Requirements:

5+ years in accounting, ideally in manufacturing

Strong grasp of cost accounting and GAAP

Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Advanced Excel and large data set experience

Detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven
