IMMEDIATE HIRE: Customer Accounts Specialist (100% Onsite | Livermore, CA )

Location: 100% ONSITE Livermore, California
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM 4:00 PM PST
Pay Rate: $22-25/hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Customer Accounts Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team located in Livermore, CA. This is a full-time onsite role with a strong emphasis on customer service, medical billing, and insurance collections. You will handle inbound calls from patients regarding their billing statements, follow up on outstanding balances, and interpret insurance information (EOBs).

Key Responsibilities:
Manage 50+ patient inquiries daily via phone and email

Address questions related to billing statements, insurance, and payment status

Reconcile patient accounts and verify statement accuracy

Interpret and explain EOBs, RAs, and billing methodologies

Maintain detailed, accurate records of all interactions and collection activities

Submit adjustments and refund requests as needed

Assist with credit card payments and hardship application monitoring

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

Support month-end closing procedures and other related tasks

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, or revenue cycle support

Strong knowledge of insurance billing and EOB interpretation

Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold patient privacy standards

Strong organizational and time management skills
