The Leidos Intercompany Accounting team has an immediate opening for a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Intercompany Accountant to specialize in intercompany reporting, and timely analysis and resolution of intercompany differences. This role is essential to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance across intercompany transactions globally. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and bring strong relationship-building skills to a collaborative virtual workspace.
Primary Responsibilities:
Communicate with respective POCs to resolve intercompany differences timely
Provide intercompany support, analytics, and reporting for partners
Accurately record, classify, and reconcile intercompany invoices from offline entities
Review intercompany reconciliations for completeness and accuracy
Prioritize competing tasks efficiently while ensuring precision under tight deadlines
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency
Ensure compliance with assigned SOX/DFARS internal controls and respond timely to all audit requests
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting and 2-4 years of experience, working knowledge of US GAAP
Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools (Deltek Costpoint experience a plus)
Highly skilled in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating across functions
Demonstrated success in identifying and communicating process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
Intercompany experience with working comprehension of eliminations
Proficiency with accounting systems like Deltek Costpoint and Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
Experience in developing queries and reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Power BI, and Power Pivot
Knowledge of government contracting compliance and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with foreign currency conversion.
Comfortability with virtual team collaboration platforms and remote work environments
