Job Summary and Description
Assists the Associate Director of Payroll with the overall coordination of Payroll operations which includes but is not limited to: supervising department staff in the absence of the Associate Director of Payroll; leading project management activities including payroll presentations and training at various College and DSO locations and departments; monitoring and troubleshooting financial transactions affecting the payroll processes; and leading the development and implementation of technology and process improvements. Assist payroll staff in completing the District's obligation to compensate employees in an accurate and timely manner. All work is performed in accordance with the payroll policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Reports to the Department of Finance and Fiscal Services.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related discipline or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Three years of payroll and/or accounting experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Banner or similar record system preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Prefer Certified Payroll Professional certification.
