The staff accountant is responsible to assist in keeping the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. This role will assist in preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the controller and will also be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies. In addition, assists with establishing and maintaining control systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee Inventory related transactions and journals including new item cost setup; monthly cost roll; inventory reconciliation; obsolete calculations.
- Lead Physical Inventory Count and Cycle Count processes.
- Review and provide research on work order variances with analysis of BOMs.
- Manage Fixed Assets including new projects; monthly depreciation; determination of use-full life with assistant of Corporate Tax; asset transfers; impairment review; and completion of physical count.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines.
- Manage various journal entries and reconcile accounts for monthly and annual closing.
- Provide inputs on quarterly and yearly tax packages regarding fixed assets, inventory and sales.
- Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasts.
- Participate in preparation of and providing of supporting documentation for any audits.
- Manage Car Lease Program.
- Provide backup for payroll processing in ADP Enhanced Time and ADP Workforce Now.
- Backup other Finance duties such as AP & AR when needed.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Help upkeep internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

- Ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least five years general accounting experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with ERP software.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in related field or advanced certification.
- At least three years experience in manufacturing environment.
- Advanced level in Excel.
- Familiar with Sage Fixed Assets.
- QAD system experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Salary range: $74,000 - 84,000, actual compensation will be based on experience.
