Trillium has an immediate opening for a Senior Tax Accountant / CPA with a financial planning firm in Reno, NV!

This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks a current CPA with 5+ years of experience in filing individual tax returns. This is an amazing opportunity to grow into Lead CPA overseeing the entire business when the current CPA retires within 2 years!

Responsibilities:

Preparing and filing individual, corporate, fiduciary, and estate tax returns, with a majority of the clients subject to California accounting rules

Calculating quarterly estimated tax payments

Reconciling documents from prior year with current year tax return

Work with the Lead CPA and Financial Advisor team

Respond to tax notices from the IRS, FTB, and any applicable agency

Ensure compliance with government tax rules

The salary range is $120-170,000 depending on experience (with the potential for a higher salary if bringing a book of current clients). This will be an in-office role working out of the Reno office location.

Qualifications:

Current CPA designation

5+ years of experience filing tax returns

Experience with California returns is preferred but not required

Proficiency with Intuit Lacerte and QuickBooks Online/Desktop
