Position Summary
Under the close supervision and guidance of the STAR Analytics Section Chief, the entry-level incumbent works alongside project managers, subject matter experts, and data-integration developers to learn, build, and support the end-to-end delivery of ERP data and analytics for agencies across the State of Wisconsin enterprise.
Key Duties:
- Develop a foundational understanding of the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP database and interrelationships.
- Architect and deploy interactive data visualizations leveraging Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Design, develop, and maintain, semantic models in Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Assist in data validation and reconciliation between source tables and analytic outputs.
- Help maintain project artifacts - data dictionaries, process flows, and test scripts.
- Shadow senior team members to learn data management practices.

Salary Information
Starting hourly rate for the IS Enterprise Data Services Professional position will be between $24.42 - $38.46 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. A 12-month probationary period may be required. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 07-35. Current State employees will be compensated in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and/or background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. All employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin. Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience or relevant training in authoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries to support data extraction and analysis.
- Proven experience or coursework in designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data integration or data flow pipelines.
- Solid experience or formal education in data modeling.
- Hands-on experience or training in developing data visualization solutions.
