General Overview
Prepares and maintains accuracy of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to procedural standards. Provides management with accurate information in the areas of cost, budgets, payroll and forecasting in an efficient manner. At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be general but may involve complex and/or non-routine assignments and duties are performed under limited supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and documenting business transactions.
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
Supports pricing and cost proposals for government contracts (e.g., FFP, CPFF, T&M
Collaborates with engineering, production and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
Analyzes manufacturing and operational costs to support pricing strategies and cost control.
Monitors and updates indirect cost rates; assists in the development of provisional billing rates
Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.
Supports the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.
Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership, including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization's policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.
Qualifications/Requirements

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and 5-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other skills and experience:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting. CPA is a plus.
Demonstrated application of accounting principles and procedures.
Work experience with a publicly traded company is preferred.
Experience with intercompany accounts and multiple company books is a plus.
Requires strong computer skills, including ERP systems.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet shifting priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work part of the weekend preceding the monthly close.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills to handle multiple requests and deadlines effectively.
Enthusiasm and eagerness to contribute to the success of the company and apply skills to streamline and improve processes.
Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented and proactive in management of projects and tasks.
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data and effectively communicate judgments/decisions based on that data to others.
Comprehensive skill in all MS Office applications
Cost accounting experience is preferred.
Government Contract accounting experience is a plus
Salary Range:
$77,000.00-$102,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
